Pick a starting note on the keyboard and a type of scale — then see it light up on the keys and the stave, hear it played, and read the pattern of whole and half steps that builds it. Change the root and watch the very same shape slide to a new home.
How to use it while composing
- Find any scale fast. Click its starting note and the notes you can use light up straight away.
- Hear the mood. Play major then minor from the same note and listen to how different they feel.
- Learn the pattern, not just the notes. The W–H step formula is identical in every key — that's the whole trick.
- Choose a scale to write in. Pick a root and type you like, then build a melody using only its lit-up notes.
